Pear & Fennel Smoothie- Healthy Green Smoothies
Out of all the green smoothies I’ve ever made, this is definitely one of the most powerful when it comes to adding a boost of fiber to your diet and clearing out skin problems. Admittedly, it’s not the best tasting smoothie and is definitely not for newcomers to healthy drinks. The fennel adds a pronounced licorice-like scent and taste to this. Fennel’s antioxidant properties though, including its high content of Vitamin C and Anethole, significantly reduces inflammation (making it good for people prone to acne-breakouts) and fights cancer. Fennel also has significant fiber content per serving, making this an excellent root vegetable for those with digestive issues.

Makes 4 medium sized glasses

Ingredients
2 ripe pears, cored and roughly chopped
1 heaping cup fennel, roughly chopped
1 handful kale
1 small handful mint
2 1/2 cups green tea (cold or room temp)
1/2 cup ice (optional)

Method


Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
