Cooling Kale & Honeydew Smoothie
If you’re looking to help your own digestion or if you are having skin problems, this Cooling Kale and Honeydew Smoothie is perfect for you. Cucumber helps calm inflammation of all types and helps de-puff bloated skin. Kale gives you the fiber you need to keep your digestion on track while the trio of banana, ripe honeydew and pineapple create a naturally sweet, tropical flavor. For the liquid base, I use hydrating coconut water though you can substitute with any type of white or green tea.
Serves 4
Ingredients
2 ½ cups coconut water (if you like a thicker smoothie use 2 cups)
1 heaping cup cucumber, roughly chopped with or without peel
1 large handful raw kale, thoroughly washed and drained
½ large ripe banana
2 cups honeydew melon roughly chopped
2 cups bite sized chunks fresh pineapple
1 cup crushed ice
Method
Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth for about 1 minute. Serve immediately.
