Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie- Healthy Smoothie Recipes
This Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie is perfect for rushed mornings or an afternoon pick-me-up. I have so many fond childhood memories of my parents getting me all kinds of frosty drinks and treats at various Disney parks around the world that as an adult, I find myself craving those flavors. Two of my all time favorites were a pineapple frosty and a frozen banana. For my healthy smoothie recipes collection, I decided to combine two antioxidant-rich fruits with calcium-rich almond milk for a quick trip down memory lane. Add a boost with the almighty turmeric powder (ground turmeric) and flax or chia seeds and you’ve got an incredibly healthy smoothie.

Makes 4 medium sized glasses

Ingredients
2 heaping cups fresh pineapple chunks
1 banana
2 cups almond milk (substitute soy milk or any milk)
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon flax seeds or chia seeds
1 cup ice

Method

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
