Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate Saketini- Chocolate Cocktails
For those of you who adore chocolate and the divine combination with salted caramel, this easy chocolate saketini is for you. I use ZERO sugar in the actual cocktail to avoid an overly sweet concoction, instead allowing for the sweetness of the caramel to come through against that delicious salty contrast with velvety dark chocolate. Cold sake rounds this cocktail off for a perfectly smooth finish.

Makes 2 Martini Glasses

Ingredients
1/2 cup dark chocolate pieces + for garnish
1 1/2 cups milk (I used whole milk here but you can use any type you like)
1 cup cold sake
Shaker filled with ice
2 tablespoons caramel sauce (here’s a super easy recipe)
Sea salt for rimming

Method

Place the dark chocolate pieces and the cold milk in a blender and pulse until completely smooth. Pour into the shaker with ice along with the cold sake. Set aside briefly.

Place the caramel sauce on a flat plate. Place the sea salt on another flat plate. Take a martini glass and spin the rim through the caramel sauce, then lightly through the salt. Repeat with the other glass. Set glasses aside.

Shake the “chocolate milk” with the cold sake really well for about 30 seconds. Pour into the martini glasses. You can serve this with dark chocolate pieces on the side or use a knife to roughly chop them into little shavings to sprinkle on the drink (as pictured here). I also like garnishing with a chocolate wafer though this is optional of course.
