Blueberry Kale Smoothie- Healthy Smoothies
Kale has been and will probably continue to be one of the Western world’s favorite leafy green vegetables and with good reason. Its health benefits are numerous and combined with blueberries- a superfruit that have been shown to help improve memory (among many other health issues), this Blueberry Kale Smoothie is as potent as they come. I love using a liquid base of White or Green tea in my smoothies to add that layer of cancer fighting properties. A touch of fresh orange juice and sweet cantaloupe round out the flavors to make drinking heart-healthy kale a breeze.

Serves 2

Ingredients
1 heaping cup crushed ice
1 cup cold Jasmine White or Green tea
½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
¾ cup blueberries
2 heaping cups chopped cantaloupe
1 large handful fresh kale

Method

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
