Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie
Need a quick breakfast on the go? This Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie is a perfect breakfast for both adults and kids. Vine ripened strawberries balance with sweet bananas, turning regular milk and raw oats into a satisfying energy boosting breakfast. This is one of my favorite healthy smoothies of all time given how few ingredients are required, how easy it is to make and simply how delicious it is. Just beware though, anytime you mix milk with an acidic fruit, there’s going to be thickening and separation within 10 to 15 minutes of preparation so make sure to drink these types of smoothies right away. Also one of the best aspects of this Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie is you get the antioxidant power of strawberries with the fiber and fullness of heart healthy oatmeal. If you are lactose intolerant or simply don’t like drinking milk, you can substitute with almond, cashew or soy milk, or even coconut water.
