Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Fruit smoothies are my favorite way to pack in daily essential nutrients and antioxidants in a quick and effective way. While there are many smoothie stores to choose from, I find that most of these stores add unnecessary syrups and preservatives to the fruits, increasing sugar and calories in the process. I created this super easy fruit smoothie recipe to integrate my favorite tropical fruits from Asia and added a touch of yogurt for an extra healthy kick. Addictive!

Serves 4


1 heaping cup crushed ice

2 cups fresh seedless lychee (substitute with 1 can of lychee)

3 heaping cups fresh seedless watermelon chunks

4 cups freshly squeezed orange juice

1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt (optional)


Placed all the ingredients in the order listed in a blender. On high speed, blend until smooth for just a minute or so. Depending on the size of your blender, you may need to do this in two batches. Serve immediately.
