In an era of globalization where most of us are constantly on the go, it's so easy to get caught up in the madness of daily life. We have jobs to go to, bills to pay, places to go, people to see. We often forget to take a moment to stop, think, breathe. How lucky we are to have wonderful families, a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes to keep us sheltered from the elements. Not everybody is so lucky. My purpose here is not to restate statistics that have been thrown at us by various media through the years. I just wanted to share a few moments out of my own life with all of you where I was blessed to have the opportunity to give to others who needed someone to care. Nothing grand, nothing fancy. Just moments here and there where I was able to help a little. I hope that all of you will do whatever you can to change the lives of others in need, with an open heart and a little effort. Here are a few snapshots from one Christmas Eve on the streets of San Francisco where friends and I delivered food we had cooked earlier in the day to all the homeless people we found along various streets. It was a chilly night, a perfect night to have met some great people who had unique, individual stories to share.
