KIND Snacks

Navigating through the infinite number of choices we have today in every aspect of eating can be a daunting task. There are so many healthy eating buzz words that companies flail about while one article after another disrupts what we were originally led to believe. So what are we supposed to look for in a wholesome, healthy snack today?

As a lifelong student of the culinary arts and as one who is constantly concerned about getting my parents to eat healthy, I have always believed that if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it shouldn’t go in your body. When I discovered that KIND Snacks shared this philosophy, I was elated to try their products.

Incorporating five whole grains including amaranth, oats and quinoa, along with well known superfoods like chia seeds, flax seeds and blueberries, KIND grains, bars and clusters are all:

  • gluten-free
  • non-GMO
  • sulphur dioxide-free
  • sorbitol-free
  • agave-free
  • Kosher.

With plain ol’ nuts, berries, honest to goodness honey- all ingredients I can find in my local market or right out in nature- I feel confident that I’m giving my parents healthy snacks when they feel like something with a crunch or a touch of rich dark chocolate. For chocolate lovers like my father, you’ll love KIND’s Dark Chocolate Chunk bar (pictured above).

For berry lovers like me, opt for the  Vanilla Blueberry Clusters with Flax Seeds. With whole grain amaranth, quinoa, oats, millet and buckwheat, this crunchy mixture also has real blueberries and flax seeds- all of which result in a high fiber and high omega-3 fatty acids content per serving. These clusters are perfect for a quick healthy breakfast with Greek yogurt and fresh berries or on its own with a splash of milk. (Pictured below).

KIND has about two dozen flavors between their bars, healthy grains bars and clusters. There’s a flavor for every palate from the sweet to the savory.

While the overall debates on healthy eating will continue on, at least we’ve found one clear answer in KIND snacks. Besides all of their products being one of the best options on the market for healthy snacking, it’s an added bonus that the company is comprised of a team that stands behind its’ name- spreading kindness and social responsibility every step of their growth.
