Serves 4

Ingredients
28 oz firm tofu cut into thick slices
Garlic powder for sprinkling
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 scallions finely chopped
6 tablespoons soy sauce
Juice of 1 lemon or lime
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

Method

Place the tofu pieces on a plate or cutting board. Sprinkle the tofu with the garlic powder generously; turn over the pieces and sprinkle the other side with garlic powder as well.

In a non-stick wok or skillet, heat the olive oil on medium high heat. Pan-fry the tofu slices for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, lemon or lime juice and sesame oil until thoroughly combined. Place tofu on a serving plate and garnish with chopped scallions. Serve the dipping sauce on the side.
