Le Mieux 4 In 1 Skin Perfecter

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with my skincare regimen. I would rather be compulsive about taking care of my skin with the appropriate products (in addition to an overall healthy lifestyle of course) than having to deal with the horrific idea of plastic surgery down the line. (As of today, that is something I stand very strongly against).

One of my absolute favorite skin treatments is microdermabrasion. It’s nothing new in the world of skincare but it’s still not a cheap treatment to get at a facialist or dermatologist, especially when you want to do it on a regular basis to maintain that extra soft, wrinkle free, glowing complexion. In all major cities across the world, one session of microdermabrasion usually costs a minimum of US $100.

Recently, I was excited to come across Le Mieux’s 4 in 1 Ultrasonic Skin Perfecter- a handheld tool that uses ultrasonic waves to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and infuse. It’s super easy to use, no cartridges or anything to switch out constantly. The four “treatments” this tool offers is dependent on which setting you use and the angle at which you glide the tool across your face.

It’s best to watch THIS VIDEO to get a clear idea of the various ways to use the Skin Perfecter.

As someone with oily combination skin, I was most excited to use this tool for its exfoliating and extracting virtues. The first time I used it was in the evening, after a thorough cleansing and washing with warm water. I had no make-up on (or so I thought) and applied no skincare products- just my wet face ready for first trial with the Skin Perfecter.

I followed the instructions of angling downward and moving from the center of my face outwards, pressing gently but firmly against my skin. The tool made a very soft buzzing sound, akin to that of a tiny humidifier. As I glided the tool all over my face, I could feel it whisking away droplets of water. It wasn’t until the 3 minute mark (that’s how long you’re supposed to use it) when I stopped the tool and looked at the tip that I realized how much dead skin and other unidentifiable gunk it had scooped up with it.

If any of you have ever used those nose pore strips, you’ll understand the simultaneous fascination and grossed out feeling you get when viewing the dirt that just came off your own face. That’s exactly how I felt observing the tip of the Skin Perfecter. It had picked up not only dead skin which would otherwise be sitting on my face clogging my pores potentially leading to breakouts and a sallow complexion, it also picked up make-up residue that my naked eye could not detect. After all, I had just thoroughly washed my face with a great cleanser.

After the 3 minute treatment, my face was a bit red, just like it usually is after a microdermabrasion treatment. I followed with my regular skincare routine (toner, eye cream, serum and moisturizer). The next morning in the bright daylight is when I saw the difference. My skin looked just like it does when I leave my facialist- gleaming, smooth, tight, clean. I was so thrilled with the results that I was tempted to use the Perfecter again that evening but resisted. There is such a thing as overdoing a good thing. I dutifully followed Le Mieux’s suggestion of up to 3 times a week usage and have done so for about 2 months now.

One of the other powerful usages for the Skin Perfecter is to infuse your skincare products better than your fingers could. This is done by simply inverting the angle of the tool tip.

Will I still go to my facialist for microdermabrasion? Yes, because nothing beats a professional grade treatment. However, with Le Mieux’s Skin Perfecter, I can reduce the number of visits to my facialist (sorry Eunju!) by half, saving myself quite a large sum of cash and time throughout the year without sacrificing the youthful, healthy condition of my skin.

At US $225, the Skin Perfecter is a one-time investment for a tool that will help achieve the beautiful skin you want without an exorbitant price tag and time investment.
